ORLANDO, FL (March 8, 2013) – In an effort to stay in touch with its core consumer group, Rider Sandals will be talking and listening to students in Panama City Beach during the next three weeks.
The access to the target demographic in Panama City during Spring Break provides Rider with the opportunity to receive feedback on its latest product line and understand more about the culture of its core audience.
“We’re there to spread the word about the Rider brand…our target market is here and we want them to learn more about us,” said Brad Gruber, National Sales Manager for Rider Sandals. “We feel Panama City Beach, during spring break, is the ideal location for Rider Sandals as it also gives us a tremendous opportunity to test and gain feedback on brand.”
“Rider moved in on March 2 and is planning on a continuous presence in Panama City through March 24 where we are interacting with students while doing promotions and giveaways,” said Gruber.
Along with various promotions and giveaway opportunities students will also have the opportunity to register for a free trip giveaway each day of their vacation. The trip is a free two-night hotel stay at The Summit Resort and the winner will be chosen after March 24th.
Rider Sandals will have a tent set up on the beach at The Summit Resort from March 2 to March 24.

on April 14 and 15. It was nice to bask in the sun and watch some beach volleyball with the sand between our toes.
This Rider sponsored event is celebrating 20 years of beach volleyball touring, and the Dig the Beach Series is the longest standing and largest series of premier beach volleyball east of the Mississippi.
We were so stoked to be part of the event. The entire weekend was full of music, hot bodies and, of course, beach volleyball. After all, this tour brings some of the country’s best beach volleyball players together as they play on the largest amateur field in the U.S. But, you don’t have to be a bangin’ beach volleyball player to participate because the tour is open to anyone.
The Dig the Beach Series is heading to beaches across Florida from May to August, check out their website for more details on the schedule. See you at the next one!

Market Day at the Union, as it’s known on campus, brings several vendors to the heart of the UCF campus, and it was Rider who again had the biggest draw. Of course it’s no competition, but if it was we’d win. The line of students at the Rider booth grew longer throughout the day as each student waited for their chance to take home a free pair of the most coveted sandal on campus – Rider.
And wow were they creative! Students displayed numerous creative strategies to increase their odds of winning. These were not limited to yelling at the wheel, violent tornado spins, previous winner celebrity spins, no look spins, and begging the ambassadors.
The ensuing fist pumps and dancing from celebratory winners was halted only long enough for the ambassadors to snap a photo with the joyful students. Rider made sure everyone walked away a winner by having mini Rider sandal keychains and discount coupons exclusively for UCF Knights.
With cell phones in hand, students were encouraged to “like” Rider on Facebook and then snap a photo of their new swag to enter a photo contest on the page.
Members of the Rider sponsored Surf Club at UCF were next door providing live music that kept the good vibes flowing all day long.
Even the VP of GrendeneUSA heard about the fun at UCF and stopped by to enjoy the laughs. At Rider, we believe in enjoying the little things in life and our products reflect that.
